Electrification: the practical solution for a sustainable future

Electrification as a carbon-free alternative

We bring together leading companies actively reducing the worlds carbon emissions through electrification across all sectors, including electrical generation and storage, residential heating and cooling, transportation, and industrial manufacturing.

The Electrification Association for Sustainability (EAS) has an objective to educate and advocate for the implementation of direct electrification as a primary solution for decarbonization and sustainability across sectors.

A low-risk and high-reward solution to the worlds climate crisis

Electrification technologies are proven and commercially available today to replace fossil fuel use, unlike alternative over-promised and under-delivered climate solutions.

In-fact, electric technologies have the capacity to provide economical and financial benefits to adopters when replacing conventional polluting processes, and often have a compelling return on investment.

Electrification will eliminate some of the worlds largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions:

27%

Electricity

Generation, storage and distribution is responsible for 27% of the worlds carbon emissions.

EAS brings together companies decarbonizing the electrical grid, including renewable electrical generators, distributors, and long-duration energy storage providers.

31%

Manufacturing

Responsible for 31% of the worlds carbon emissions.

EAS members are addressing a significant portion of the manufacturing sectors emissions through direct electrification of low-temperature industrial processes, and high-temperature industrial processes, such as aluminum, glass, cement, and steel production.

16%

Transportation

Responsible for 16% of the worlds carbon emissions.

EAS members are involved in the direct electrification of the transportation sector, from consumer automotive products through long-distance transportation and freight.

7%

Buildings

Responsible for 7% of the worlds carbon emissions.

EAS members are decarbonizing buildings through direct electrification of heating and cooling systems, through increasing adoption of technologies such as heat-pumps and electric appliances.
